The Cool IT leaderboard, powered by Greenpeace, evaluates global IT
companies on their leadership in the fight to stop climate change.
IT sector possesses the innovative spirit, technological knowhow
and political influence to display the rapid clean energy achievements.


The Cool IT leaderboard is updated regularly to track the progress of the largest IT brands      towards achieving economy wide greenhouse gas emissions reductions of 15 percent by 2020.

As cloud computing becomes more common and demands on the internet grow,
major companies hosting online services are using more and more energy for
their data centers. This report looks at the contribution of cloud computing
to climate change plus what can be done by the IT sector to help bring about,
